Chicken Soup and Pierre are paginated; the other two are not. The box is holding up with scuffs and one small tear. We made dust jackets for this set from our first edition set. The previous owner, little Ransom, has his name on the pastedown endpapers. He even illustrated the free endpaper in "One Was Johnny" and attempted to write his name on the front boards. A charming intact set.

First Edition Thus. 32mo 4" - 5" tall; 1970 Diogenes. 1st German edition. 4 volumes in orange paper covered boards and color pictorial dust jackets in pictorial slipcase. Original dust jackets generally bright and neat, just a trifle toned at spines. Aligatoren has a short closed tear to the jacket at the crown. Slipcase lightly rubbed edges and perhaps a little toned top edge A few mild spots of rub and bump to DJ spine edges. Books are stiffly bound; NF in VG+ dust jackets and slipcase.
