Other content includes the Egyptian film industry since 1927, with photos of actress Nahid Sabri on set for Al Ahram Studios, Shams al Baroody, Fatin Hamamah, Omar Sharif, director Muhammad Salim, among others; the mosque on Massachussetts Avenue in Washington DC; Arab horses; and the Suq al Hamjdiyah in Damascus. Photographers include Aramco's own Khalil Abou El-Nasr and V.K. Antony.

[16], 216pp. [Dhahran], Arabian American Oil Company, An excellent study of the region of Al-Hasa, located in Eastern Saudi Arabia. Vidal was based there in the Autumn and Winter of 1951, working as Field Supervisor of the Malaria Control Program (run by the Aramco Research Division), and was able to gather an impressive amount of geographical, anthropological and economic information. The book is well illustrated with photographs from Aramco's documentary and photographic files.
