Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. States "First Published in 1935" to copyright page with no later printings mentioned, but this would appear to be the second or third "issue," conceivably as late as 1936. Blue cloth (toned a bit greenish to spine) with dark blue ("navy") titles to spine.… Book is 7-1/2 inches (19.15 cm.) tall. Book will close its own boards and text block. Eight pp. of publisher's advertisements at rear dated 835 (not 335.) The "good" dust jacket with a quarter-inch chip to top of front panel and a 5/8ths-inch closed tear (with associated spider-webbing) where front panel meets top of spine bears the printed price "3s. 6d. / Net" to bottom of unclipped front flap. Jacket was once damp to bottom of rear panel, though resulting dampstain is visible only to verso. Previous owner George A. Randall has rubber-stamped his name to top of FFE, and some of the ink from that stamping has transferred to top of jacket front flap. No problem with hinges. No unusual "browning" to text. Tiny damp spot (size of a pencil eraser) showing to bottom outside corner of final 20 pp. 282 pp. followed by the aforementioned 8 pp. publisher's ads. Reduced from $600.
