He had spotted Morrissey earlier and rushed to buy a book on The Smiths to have it signed. The only book he could find was this paperback copy of the biography A Light That Never Goes Out, a book Morrissey famously dislikes. When he approached Morrissey in the Hatchard's staircase he was initially shooed away by Morrissey's friend with the words "Mr Morrissey will not be signing anything today". When he persevered, Morrissey agreed to sign the book, saying " Forgive the critics for they know not what they write" referring to the book in question. A unique copy! Signed by Author(s).
