Cetaceans is a series of messages channeled from the cetacean species -- whales and dolphins. The book graphically spells out why they are here on Earth, how they work with extraterrestrials, and how we interfere with their mission. They make an impassioned plea for us to stop whaling and cease using fishing nets, and also to free whales and dolphins in captivity. Readers will have their eyes opened to the rich family and cultural life of another intelligent species on this planet. Cetaceans: The Call Goes Out is a simple, direct plea from the heart to stop killing those who are trying to help us.

Soft cover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. [1st ed., 1st printing] ;115 pages ; 23 cm ; SIGNED presentation by author on title page ; color photographic stiff paper wrappers ; ISBN 9780692549018, 0692549013 ; OCLC 929988750 ; While a wife and mom, Lee St. John was an all-consuming (OCD) volunteer of all THIS and mostly THAT . from social to substantial . and ran interference to make her family life easier. Not HER life, mind you. She was too busy to think of herself. And now when she looks in all her closets stuffed to the ceiling after all these years, she see mementos of her parents, her children, her friends, her family, and all her quirky life and career experiences. Each item triggers a special memory that she wants to relay to her two boys. But they are not giving her the time of day and she is afraid that one day she will forget her wicked life stories! So, Lee wrote them down."--Page 4 of cover. ; Lee finds keepsakes in her basement which reveal past and present shenanigans. As a rogue Southern Belle, a high-jinx expert, and mayhem confessor, you'll find her stories twisted, uproarious, revealing, delicious, quirky, surprising, warm, humorous, heartfelt, or scandalous. Take your pick. These true stories are about family, friends, co-workers, and others whose names she cloaks when telling her tales. Well, she had to. There's the story about how her knucklehead brother-in-law's attempt (and success) to change his mother's death date on her tombstone. And the dude who told his blind date she was the "wrong one" - but wait till you see how it turned out! Or her husband's bachelor friend who tried to break them up before the wedding but karma came back to haunt him. Gotta hand it to her, though, at least she's authentic while she divulges this confidential information. Writer and humorist known for her Southern Charm, St. John is a popular stand-up comedienne and lecturer. A Georgia Peach by birth but an adopted Alabama Camellia, Lee splits her time and humor between her Georgia newspaper column and as a radio and TV-contributor for the Charter Cable Network in Alabama. She can follow or slice and dice rules of etiquette; it just depends on her mood. And after she's done, there will be a story to tell. ; A print journalist turned advertising secretary turned sales representative turned English teacher, St. John's inspirations for her roguish humor are Erma Bombeck, Lewis Grizzard, and The Seinfeld Chronicles (Seinfeld). Her premature articulation gets her into trouble but the beauty of it is, she then writes about her playful misconduct. You may relate.Married for 34 years, her husband told her he wanted a challenge when he married her. Bless his heart. Be careful what you wish for. ; Contents: Before you read any further! -- The joke's on you -- You better watch out, you better not cry -- Center of attention -- He who laughs last, laughs best -- JIVE talking -- Family tree -- The royal wedding -- Hide and seek -- Oral gratification -- What goes up must come -- Playing dentist -- Clean-up in the boys' bathroom -- Do not try this at home -- Calling roll -- Lip sync -- Excuse my French -- Parlez vous, Francais? -- Let's keep this French thing going -- Still more French - Si'l vous plait -- Excusez mon francais -- Playing dress-up -- Dick Tracy -- Barbie got married -- Hip-hip hooray -- When I grow up I want to be -- Going AWOL -- Claim to fame -- Kissing cuzins -- Speaking of beer -- Don't cry for me, Argentina -- What's in a name? -- Broadway Joe -- I see dead people -- Same song -- Little Miss Dynamite -- What is it with Preidents and us? -- Making the grade -- Testing, testing -- My friend Flicka -- Behave yourself -- Marriage vows -- As Lewis Grizzard said -- I've got the wedding bell blues -- Cunning linguist -- To the one I love -- Mack attack -- The inquest -- Chatty Cathy -- Cast of characters -- Thanks, kudos and 5-stars -- Hey! Original publisher's cloth, spine lettered and upper cover lettered gilt, with pictorial unclipped dust jacket. *Among the rank and file clergy sharing the hardships and trials of life in poverty stricken Mayo, the name of Father Joseph Foy attracted attention both for his pastoral work but also for an addiction to the native poteen which marked his stormy career which also featured stories of his acclaimed intercessional powers. Patient detective work for this book reveals an 1890 cover up that failed not only to dampen devotion to a priest who was silence for 27 years in his ministry but actually increased his popularity as a healer.* Not noted in National Library Ireland catalogue. **This copy is signed and inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper.** A fine copy of an unaccountably scarce book without any library stamps or other markings. Provenance: the previous owner of the book accosted Morrissey at Hatchard's, Piccadilly, and had him sign the book. He had spotted Morrissey earlier and rushed to buy a book on The Smiths to have it signed. The only book he could find was this paperback copy of the biography A Light That Never Goes Out, a book Morrissey famously dislikes. When he approached Morrissey in the Hatchard's staircase he was initially shooed away by Morrissey's friend with the words "Mr Morrissey will not be signing anything today". When he persevered, Morrissey agreed to sign the book, saying " Forgive the critics for they know not what they write" referring to the book in question. A unique copy! Signed by Author(s).
