Publisher's pictorial paper boards, with the dust-jacket of matcing design. Illustrations throughout, including title page. INSCRIBED by the author in blue ink to flyleaf. As New. Ben is a wandering sheep who helps his friend Tipsy, a lame skylark, to search for his balance and missing gene. The other sheep think Ben is unnatural for talking to the birds, and searching all day; however, when a climber does not return, the flock soon change their tune.
