First edition, Limited edition with toothpick flag inserted in cover slot, signed by Kit Hinrichs, number 231. Condition is used, and there is some light wear on the black printed covers. Pages are unmarked and in excellent condition. From Pentagram: "Pentagram Papers 14: Stars & Stripes showcases Kit Hinrichs' 40 year old collection of Stars and Stripes objects. There have been 27 official flags since the nation's inception as a new star is added each time a state is inducted into the Union. Of 150 numbered copies designed, printed and signed by Michael Tarachow on Arches Wove paper, this is letter A of 26 special copies signed by 16 of the living contributors. With 53 different handset typefaces and requiring 112 press runs to complete, amounting to nearly 28,000 impressions. Bound by Campbell-Logan. Loosely inserted are a bookmark with a wood engraving by John DePol, a Tarachow DePol wood engraved bookplate. and a compliments slip. A fine copy in archival mylar. Signed by Author(s).

With the bookplate of the late Christopher Brinson, a collector of books on magic, researcher and author of works on magic (Arcady Press). The bookplate shows a sphinx with pyramids in the background and conjuring tools in the foreground including a magic wand. This run is very heavy, and delivery costs may be a consideration especially outside Britain. Very good indeed. Signedes.

Very good copy. A wonderful selection of various type specimens and typographic designs presented as quotations from the likes of Bruce Rogers, Eric Gill, Rudolph Koch, Daniel Berkelely Updike, Victor Hammer and Francis Meynell, among many others.

SIGNED. A Pentagram publication collection / Michael Tarachow - a wonderful bundle of Pentagram Press titles ie Books, Pamphlets, Broadsides, Postcards and even business cards plus ephemera from the stable of Michael TarachowÕs Pentagram Press which hailed from that fine era of letterpress printing and publishers in Wisconsin c. 1970s through the 1980s. Tarachow manned an impressive letterpress emporium Ñ a one man crew innovator, designer, typeface setter, and hand-sewn stitcher. This bundle shows the relationship with Michael TarachowÕs friendship and trading with Bob Arnold and Bob's Longhouse publications in Vermont. A terrific association bundle here, many signed by Michael and many of Tarachow's own titles. They have since become scarce if not nonexistent. We offer this bundle sold as a set. Roughly 50 separate pieces.
