Items 11591a-14833 A set of 6 catalogues issued from the firm's 1 King St, St James's premises concluding a long sequence of catalogues on English Literature that commenced in 1926 with catalogue 226: these 6 catalogues comprise all the 'Addenda' volumes except the first (catalogue 243). Arranged in an alphabetical sequence up to item 14243 and the remaining items (the addenda to the addenda) then arranged in a second alphabetical sequence. Pickering & Chatto were significant purchasers at the Britwell Court Library sales although the catalogues do not appear to identify which items come from Britwell (presumably the final sale held on 28 March to 8 April 1927). It would be an interesting exercise to compare their purchases with items appearing in the catalogues. The catalogues include many notes of bibliographical value.
