Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Hardcover, 6 3/4 by 4 3/4 inches, 376 pages plus 26 pages of ads in the back. Covers have light corner wear. Front cover was detached and re-attached with a cloth strip, now solid. Missing endpapers front and back and half of page 25/6 of ads. Inch by inch shark tooth shaped piece missing from top of title page and page following. Contents largely clean, perhaps four pages have a little soiling. Non fiction, correction of popularly held erroneous beliefs concerning many and various subjects.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Fourth Edition. A book for young and old. Textured dark grey/blue cloth, with gilt titles. Corners bumped but generally very good. No inscriptions. Teg but dulled. 247pp plus adverts. A tidy copy.

Fair to Good condition. Brittle paper with a couple closed tears. Interesting item.

Notable wear and darkened marks to the covers and spine. An annotation on the ffep. The frontispiece is slightly loose in places.The contents show a typical amount of tanning and age, particularly the first and last handful of pages, but the main body of text remains clean and is often bright.
