This copy was given to one of its contributors Robert Alexander Polhill Bevan and includes a compliments card "with the compliments of Art and Technics Limited" to Bevan. Also includes the rare bi-fold supplement 'Postscript to Image' and a newspaper cutting reviewing this inaugural issue (Images was a successor to Alphabet and Image). Contents include 'The Drawings of William Mulready' by Geoffrey Grigson, 'Wood Engravings of John O'Connor' by Stuart Rose, 'The Sculpture of Daphne Hardy' by Douglas Newton, 'J.M. Gandy's Architectural Visions' by John Summerson, 'The Book Illustrations of John Minton' by John Lewis, 'Chantrey Afterthoughts' by R.A. Bevan. Very good condition.

(London: The Shenval Press 1949). First Edition. Described as "An Occasional supplement issued by the publishers of IMAGE a quarterly of the visual arts". This Supplement is 4-pages long and is darkened and has very tender hinges which have partially split (and been reinforced by Filmoplast). It includes, inter alia, an obituary of William Nicholson (the "Last of the Beggarstaffs"), an obituary of Edward Wadsworth ("Painter of the Sea" who was described as "a revolutionary in his approach to painting" a review of Elkins Matthews Catalogue "A Collection of Drawings made to Illustrate Books" which is described as "Sumptuous".
