Add to basketEarly reprint. Original red cloth with black titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the top corner of the lower board with a minor bump. The contents, with light spotting to the text block edge, are otherwise clean throughout and without stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased original dustwrapper which has a few short closed tears at the extremities. Not price-clipped (7/6 on the front flap). A reasonably common reprint, often mistakenly catalogued as a first edition (which was published in black cloth with gilt titles and a differently designed dustwrapper also priced 7/6 net). A near future science fiction novel in which a single politician becomes the dictator of Britain. (Bleiler; Locke: A Spectrum of Fantasy).
