The inscription reads:"- Baltimore 15th May 1986 To Dorothy & John , In admiration and friendship, Michael ". I am unable to verify the inscription but it seems likely to be that of the author who was born in New York and at the time of publication of the book was Associate Professor of Fine Arts at Harvard and subsequently the Herbert Boone Professor of Humanities at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore] 60pp. blue cloth+ gilt lettering to spine. Dust Jacket small loss front base corner 3x4mm. & minor col rub/loss to 3 top corners. 2 small tear-lines top rear 5 & 7mm. now in a removable proprietary protective sleeve .Please see our images of the book offered for sale for further details and condition.
