First Edition. 12pp; includes candid photographs of the group, along with their two-page repertoire, some biographical notes, etc. Bound in pictorial wrappers, 4.75" x 9" Acker Bilk, born Bernard Stanley Bilk in 1929, is a clarinetist known for his trademark goatee, bowler hat, striped waistcoat and his breathy, vibrato-rich, lower-register clarinet style. Bilk was part of the boom in traditional jazz that swept the United Kingdom in the late 1950s. He first joined Ken Colyer's band in 1954, and then formed his own ensemble, The Paramount Jazz Band, in 1956.

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. All Original. Eight page souvenor program produced by Harold Landey and signed in ink by Acker Bilk: " To Val XXXX. From Acker Bilk, Johnny Richardson, Rod Mason" (see first image along top). Not dated but 1960's. Richardson was drums, Rod Mason trumpet. They sign separately. Nine B & W photo images, including presentation to Queen & Prince Philip (see images 2 to 5). Some minor text loss to Johnny Richardson's caption.

Condition: Very Good. Publisher's original wire stitched album souvenir programme. 11¾'' x 8¼''. Contains 12 pp including the covers with monochrome photographs of the band, period advertisements. Rubbing to the corners and in Very Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. MUSIC [Jazz].

Each programme featuring a list of numbers which the band would choose from on the night, plus a list of the artists scheduled to be playing with Bilk. Each a single sheet of paper folded once, with advertisements to rear. With a loose contemporary newspaper cutting announcing the creation of a new band headed by Bilk's trumpeter, Kenneth Sims. Light handing; both programmes heavily creased. Very good.
