Print. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Double Elephant - over 25 - 50" tall. 1st edition. A Very Good lithograph. Image: 51" x 8.75"; frame: 53" x 11". Color lithograph in early 20th century black wood frame with glaze. Some surface soiling visible on the print. Wood frame scratched, with unpainted wood visible thru. A Very Good print in Very Good period frame. *** Not examined out of frame. *** A very successful World's Fair, with the time extended due to the popularity. Interestingly, it was the first Fair to actually pay for itself, before it closed, and done during the Great Depression. It had a emphasis on architecture, and featured 'modern' designs. In the lithograph, a panoramic view of the Fair is seen looking North over the lake. The buildings are all captioned, and major exhibitions listed; from the Illinois Central Railroad on the right, to Smedd Aquarium on the left. ***.
