Hardcover. Condition: Poor - Cash. 11 1/2' tall 8' wide 2 1/2' thick. Heavy wear to cover, corners and edges, exposes the boards. Has soiling to cover and pages, with creases. Broken hinge. Red cloth Hardboards. Binding is broken but no pages falling out. Fraying to corners and/or ends. Pages yellowing. Pages on front and and back of book overlap because of loose binding. Wear and fraying to corners and the top and bottom edges of spine. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.

(1897 ends in October with one entry for 1898). 6 x 3.5, printed wraps, "Memorandum" printed on front cover, lined, unpag (42 pages are filled in). Covers have light soiling, spotting, spine cover fraying with small holes, ink name of owner on front cover and first page, contents good. Basic expenditures for postcards, street car fares, medicine, doctor, room rent, laundry, etc. The school expenditures include fees for matriculation, laboratory, botanical; purchases include pharmacy textbooks, test tube cleaner, botanical supplies, litmus, prep bottles, potassium hydrate, hydrochloric acid, morphine (only 5 cents!); graduation (photographs, diploma fee and holder). There is no mention of where von Walthausen lived or attended school. However, in June of 1896 he wrote "Board at Star Is." Star Island is part of the St. Clair Flats, located on the St. Clair River near Detroit.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. A little used copy of this pharmacist's reference text, in good condition with very slight wear to the cover, minor (normal) page yellowing, and a previous owner's name lightly written in cursive inside the front cover, and previously halfheartedly erased. An unusual feature is that a few pages (3 pair that I've found) have not ever been cut, so that to properly read those pages, the reader will need to slit them apart. (See my final photo.).

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Oversized shiping will be required and possibly prohibitive overseas. Book contains an errata page at the front and has light shelving wear to the edges and corners. Light rubbing can be spotted on the covers anf there is a touch of wear to the hinges. Aside from the items described this is a very good copy that remains well-bound with bright pages that are crisp and unmarked.
