Original Wraps. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Paperback original in the UK. Originally published in hard covers by The Viking Press in the US in 1977. The spine is a little faded with a small crack across it near the bottom. Light surface and edge wear to the covers. The page edges are browned with scattered spotting. Browning and scattered spotting to the first and last pages and the pages are a little browned but otherwise unmarked. First printing.

Soft cover. Condition: Near Very Good. First U.K. Edition. First UK edition/first edition thus, softcover, has a purple remainder line across the tail of the text block near the binding, moderate bumps with mild creasing to the cover corners with a touch of creasing to the corners of some pages, slighter bumps to the spine ends, rubbing with light edge wear to the covers, a few small, faint spots to the covers and the edges of the text block, and shallow soiling with a touch of softening and delaminating to about 2.5" along the fore edge of the front cover. Otherwise, this is a solid, tight, bright Near Very Good copy.

First Edition. First printing of this edition, preceded by the First Edition published by Viking in 1977. Near Fine in perfect-bound wrappers.

ISBN: 0670603252 Hardback in good condition with poor dust jacket. Text is clean and unmarked, binding tight some slight tanning of pages due to paper used and age. Dust jacket shows heavy wear with ding, nicks, rips, tears. This is the story of when a young famous playwright and well known musician Bob Dylan decided in the midst of the Bicentennial madness to hit the road on tour. Shepard as script writer as Dylan planned to film the entire trip. While in the end there was no film Shepard's script covers this extraordinary event. Loaded with B&W photos, stories of life on the road. 184 pages.

In a pictorial unclipped ($12.50) jacket protected by mylar. A few small closed tears to jacket edge. Some discoloration to jacket. Corners bumped with some light wear along edges of book. Previous owners name on a small mailing label sticker to front pastedown. Still a very attractive copy.
