Smith & Son on first free flyleaf with a list of books being sold at reduced prices by that bookdealer tipped onto the same flyleaf. Bookplate of Edward Lasker of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Foundation is laid down on inside of front cover. Someone has written the date 1861 in ink on the cover label; top quarter inch of cloth covered spine is missing; guide shows evidence of being used with a weak interior front hinge, but is still together and, overall, is in VG condition.
