Stewart was a prominent Scottish fundamentalist evangelist who also wrote books, started a publishing company and directed the Russian Bible Society. Stewart was the first preacher from the West to go behind the Iron Curtain after World War II. In 1970 there was a fire in his home leaving dark smoke marks on some books. There is no smoke odor. It is his initials on endpapers. CONDITION: Green boards, black title and design on cover, black text tile on spine. Shelf wear to head and tail of spine, corners. Binding tight. Darkening to covers and endpapers. Decorative endpapers followed by color maps of Palestine in the time of Christ and Mount Sinai. Included are two pages of class attendance records in ink.
