Dark grey stain top corner back cover. This is not one of the 26 copies numbered & signed by both Mathews and, illustrator, Alex Katz. But considering there are (as I type) 4 of these listed on a popular bookselling website, this personalized copy stands out. Mathews took the time to write this short gracious inscription for this one 'John', while visiting Palo Alto for reasons, not known. Signed By Author.
