Inscribed by the author on the inside cover: 'This book for Jack & Dolly Haines/ In further hope of friendship's gains' - the recipient was the Gloucestershire poet and solicitor John Haines, a short note to whom from Meyerstein is laid in, presenting two copies of the present work and asking that Haines give one to [W.H.] Davies.
