Find discussion from an Englishman's point of view, of the problem of The Scottish Accent. The author allows that it will be easier to rid oneself of the (unfortunate) accent than to change customary phrasings.

A new selection of Szymborska's poems in English: Fresh and vital translations by Joanna Trzeciak that amount to a different approach, meticulously culled from her body of work in the Polish original.
