Stapled White Printed Wrappers. Condition: Good. Inscribed by the author at top of cover, "With regards and thanks for your help with this. --Dan"; although Dr. Todes did not specify to whom this volume was presented, as it came from Stephen Jay Gould's reprint collection and has the Gouldian call number "T2, Todes, D." in the top corner of the cover, presumably it was presented to Dr. Gould. The author made a manuscript correction on one page (using the same type of black felt-tip pen as used for his inscription). Because there are extra staple holes and the top staple is accompanied by a staple at back, it seems this reprint was restapled; adjacent to the back staple is a small piece of clear tape, apparently archival document repair tape. Paginated 99-165, with a portrait of V. O. Kovalevskii. Interesting provenance. [otob nr mnk]. Presented By Author to Prominent Person.
