The formative years of many of the countries leaders and heroes were to be spent to the school. Just the 20th boy to attend would be killed in action in 1879 at the tragedy that was Isandlwanna. Over the ensuing 101 years another 301Old Boys and Staff of the school with die serving their country. They met brave and tragic deaths in every imaginable theatre of war, serving on land, sea and in the air.
