Price on spine 2/-, no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a very reasonable copy for its age. 320pp, red endpapers. In 1920 McNeile (1888-1937), published Bulldog Drummond under his pen nemae 'Sapper', whose eponymous hero became his best known creation. The character was based on McNeile himself, on his friend Gerard Fairlie and on English gentlemen generally. McNeile wrote ten Bulldog Drummond novels, as well as three plays and a screenplay.
