This is an undated hardcover in color illustrated paper covered boards. showing faint handling soil and light color loss, one half-inch pull at the head of the spine from being pulled off the shelf has now been repaired and looks good. Spine ends are bumped but tips remain sharp. There is one former owner name on fep (Angela May). No tears, soil or damage to the 64 page text which is fresh and soft, not browned or brittle. One of the publisher's Easy to Read offerings written in a jumbo font size. Little puppy Tips, who was the brother of Patch, lives on a farm with his other brother and sister. When the time is right, Tips goes to live with the White family, Mr., Mrs., and their twin daughters Jean and Mary at their home at Rosemary Villa. This charmingly illustrated (black and white) book of five short chapters tells of his doings with his new family, including attacking a Golliwogg doll the girls had in their bedroom and rescuing the twins' cousin who fell into the sea when the White's spend a summer at the beach with their relatives. Tips is a rough coated Jack Russell Terrier or a wire fox terrier, white with dark tips on his toes and ears. Cover shows Tips looking into the girls' doll house in their bedroom with a light yellow background. Rear of book lists other titles in this Easy to Read Series by Blackie. Quite suitable for gift giving.
