Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Limited Edition. Limited Edition of sixty Numbered Copies, each containing an example of the author's personal pattern in a sunken mount, with his Signature. This book is "essentially a dictionary of over 800 traditional and modern dressings from an Irish fly-tyer's notebook, filling a major gap in angling literature: there is information on hooks, fly-dressing materials and their preparation, with a guide to vegetable dyeing and the materials used to obtain the subtle colours beloved by the traditional fly tyers. Trout and salmon fly dressings each have their own section, and there are appendices that provide information on where to fish throughout Ireland, and often on which flies are particularly effective in each area". Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Limited Edition. Heaney's translation of Dante's Inferno (lines 1-90 of Canto XXXIII). The story of Archbishop Roger (Ruggieri) of Pisa and Count Ugolino is told in Dante's poem. Heaney explains that he was drawn to the material 'because I sensed there was something intimate, almost carnal, about these feuds and sorrows of mediaeval Pisa, something that could perhaps mesh with and house the equivalent and destructive energies at work in, say, contemporary Belfast.'.
