Volume II only. Delightful colour illustrations in text, 112pp, 21.2 x 15cm, card wrappers with contrasting unlettered maroon cloth spine a little worn, light even browning throughout. A good copy. This Japanese school textbook is a reader for the second grade pupils in primary schools. The writing is mainly in katakana with a few simple Chinese characters. The topics vary and they cover children's daily lives to Japanese traditional stories. Colour illustrations throughout the textbook are delicately drawn to heighten interests of the children.
