FIRST EDITION, some foxing, largely restricted to borders, pp. x, 310, crown 8vo, original salmon-pink cloth, the backstrip and upper board with lettering and border in black, the backstrip with a slight ridge, gentle rubbing at extremities, a couple of faint spots to upper board and the odd light mark to lower board, spotting to edges and endpapers, the free endpapers a little browned, good. Inscribed by the author on the flyleaf: 'Henry Lock, June 1925, N.G. Royde-Smith'. Her first book, and scarce - notable for its open handling of lesbian themes. The printed dedication is to Walter de la Mare.
