ABADIA DE MONTSERRAT, 1986, Barcelona. Rústica. "Francesc d'Olesa i Santmartí (Palma, Mallorca?, ~1485 ? Palma, Mallorca, 1550). Poeta. Fill de Jaume d'Olesa i Sanglada.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Limited Edition. Please find another book of poetry published in the early decades of the twentieth century similar to many of the others I have listed of late; this one is titled: Trobar Clus by Ramon Guthrie. Trobar Clus apparently refers to an obscure type of poetry used by troubadours in the 12th Century. This copy has been SIGNED by Guthrie on the half-title and is a first edition limited to 250, with the number 9 on the copyright/limitation page. The book is Guthrie's first collection of poems. It was also the first book published by the S4N Society, which also published a magazine with the same name. According to Wikipedia which has a short note about them: The inspiration for the magazine's creation stemmed from a 1919 trip to Europe taken by Yale students: Norman Fitts, Thornton Wilder, Stephen Vincent Benet, Ramon Guthrie, Roger Sessions, Quincy Porter, Richard Bassett, Arthur Dallin, John Carter, and William Hanway. The group wanted to re-create the literary vibrancy they experienced in Europe back in America in the form of a magazine. The first incarnation of the magazine saw the original 10 contributors form the S4N Society and become the sole contributors "for much of its early life". Norman Fitts was the editor, designer, and printer of the magazine. It apparently became defunct in 1925. This medium-sized hard cover book (6 ? x 9 ? inches 102 pages) was published by Norman Fitts and the S4N Society. Please see the photo of the colophon from the last page of the book. It is bound in dark blue boards with red titles on the cover. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers show some very minor bumping to the corners and spine tips. The red titles on the cover may be a bit dust-dulled. Inside a former owner has left her name and date on the half-title page just below the Author s signature. That, however, is the only mark I found in the book whose pages are clean and bright throughout and without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.

S. l., «Il Critone» (Editrice Salentina, Lecce - Galatina), 1960 (20 febbraio), Edizione originale. 4 voll., in 24° (143 mm altezza), brossura color crema stampata in nero e ocra, volumi conservati in cofanetto editoriale color ocra, pp. 184 [8]; 243 [9]; 239 [9]; 142 [9].
