Add to basketcarbon typescripts with a few manuscript corrections, creasing to some leaves, pp. [ii], 298; 166, 4to, each in individual card folders, the first loose within and fastened into two sections with combination of split pins and staples (rusting), the second fastened with wire, the third held by a split pin and with 'Explanatory Note' regarding the author laid in, good. Each with the translator's Cornwall address at head of title-page: E.A. Hopper was born in Moscow in 1887 to Allan Hopper and his wife Esther (née Bernard). No published translation work could be traced, but the two works here clearly evoke the pre-Revolutionary Russia of her childhood.
