Ee drugoj muzh, professor meditsiny Ilya Davydovich Strashun, rabotal v 1-m Meditsinskom institute v osazhdennom gorode. V 1943 vstupila v partiyu.V 1946 godu poluchila Stalinskuyu premiyu 2-j stepeni za blokadnuyu poemu 'Pulkovskij meridian' i knigu 'Pochti tri goda'. Nagrazhdena tremya ordenami i medalyami.Perevodila poeticheskie proizvedeniya Tarasa Shevchenko i Maksima Rylskogo s ukrainskogo, a takzhe takikh zarubezhnykh poetov, kak P. Elyuar, Sh. Petefi, Ya.
