Jane Austen's writings from age eleven or twelve to age eighteen, including stories, playlets, verses, and other pieces, as facsimiles and printed text. Volume the Third boards are slightly bumped at the bottom right corner, otherwise all volumes are fine. No dust jackets as issued.

Cream cloth spines over blue paper-covered boards with title labels. Second volume in dustjacket and second in its original glassine. Tanning to vol. 1 spine, and some slight creasing and marking to its front board; vol. 2's glassine's spine has been preserved inside the book. Uncut leaves, vol. 2 with unopened pages, a few spots to vol. 1 endpapers, internally all volumes bright & clean. The complete three notebooks of Austen's juvenilia / notebooks, the originals of which are held at the Bodleian and the British Library. No. 1 and 3 are edited by R. W. Chapman, and no. 2 is edited by B. C. Southam. Bindings firm. Bound in 4's. Small 8vo.
