Add to basketALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Hardcover, 1935). 1935 superior edition. Small 8vo (125 x 190mm). Pp512. B/w woodcuts by Margot Hamand, pictorial end-papers. Blue cloth, spine titled in gilt, small gilt fish vignette on upper board. Slightly bumped and used, good copy. Lacks dust-wrapper. A pot-pourri of angling information: glossaries of angling terms, an anthology of short angling pieces, the fisherman's inn, cooking and boat (and coracle) handling, a who's who of anglers, fly-dressers and angling writers, and lots, lots more. "Page after page is as alluring as a well-tied fly, yet there is no lack of very useful information and hints on tackle and boats, flies and baits; scale reading; measuring, packing and cooking fish; fisherman's birds, flowers, weeds and inns. A valuable book of reference." (The Scotsman). The standard edition of this book had two-tone cloth (green spine / blue boards) with white spine label. There was also a contemporary, signed, limited edition. This copy is of a further edition of 1935, printed on thin India paper like a pocket bible, but bound in full blue cloth with a small gilt vignette on front cover. No limitation stated but certainly a superior edition. The same dimensions and number of pages, but only half the thickness of the standard edition. .
