Book as new except upper page edges a little soiled by standing dust, endpapers lightly foxed; no marks or writing. Dust jacket has slight edgewear, spine a little tanned, a couple of very small water spots; back cover very lightly soiled from use.

Book itself is very good, pace a toned rear endsheet (long gone newsclip had been laid in at one time) but the dj is very rubbed and edgeworn, though complete. Long closed tear to rear panel. American author describes English coal miners & their problems, with plenty of visits to the coal face through stagnant tunnels. Worthy to stand alongside Orwell's Road to Wigan Pier. Sigal was in England because of the American red scare.
