Book First Edition
Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. First Edition. Hardback. First Edition. Foxing to end inside covers and edge. Wear, tear and repair to D/J. Signed by William King himself to inside cover. If you make an appointment to see Mr. King he will ask you not to give your name. That confuses him. You will be shown into the drawing room of a large and comfortable house in a quiet London square and asked for some object which has been on your person for a few years - a watch or powder compact. He will being, hesitantly perhaps at first, to talk about you and to answer your questions about the future. Mr. King is an extremely successful clairvoyant, pscyometrist if you like. There are no crystal balls or other gadgetry about Mr. Kind, he simply holds a familiar object in his hands and speaks to you in a totally untrancelike way. His know predicitions have varied from the attempt on Hitler's life to advising a young Dutchman to buy shares in tin on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange on which he made a fortune. His skill may come from out-of-this-word but his advice is often earthy and he has unravelled many a medical or social problem which has proved beyond the means of the more othodox professions. 203 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
