William Morris best known during his lifetime for his poetry, but posthumously known for his designs and being the founder of Kelmscott Press. Morris was the first modern fantasy writer to unite an imaginary world with elements of the supernatural, being a precursor of much of present day fantasy literature. Sundering flood was his last work, only completed in rough draft, edited posthumously by his daughter May and published by Kelmscott Press in 1897. This is the first American paperback version.
