He was England captain, and later joint-manager for the infamous 'Body Line Tour' of Australia. He founded the Cricketer in 1921 and edited the magazine until 1963. Ranji, K.S. Ranjitsinhi, 1872-1933, played for England. The Charm of Cricket Past and Present by Major C.H.B. Pridham was published in 1949. Sir Julien Cahn was a rich but eccentric supporter of cricket.
