8vo. pp 272. Original publisher's green cloth, lettered gilt on spine and on front cover. From the library of collector and Conrad expert Stanley J. Seeger whose completeist Conrad collection was dispersed by Sotheby's in 2013. They made a small discreet oval book-label for his books using a monogram based on his initials "SJS" - which is present in this book. Second impression (stated on verso of title page). The first edition was published 12 years earlier in 1895. Neat name on front endpaper, endpapers slightly browned with very slight staining to boards and top edge. Crimped spine head and tail. Slight lean, otherwise Very good plus. Seller Inventory # C21911
