The autobiography of Admiral Evans, known by then as "Evans of the Broke", written after World War Two. "Evans served as second officer aboard the relief ship Morning (1902-4) during Scott's Discovery expedition. His narrative of the ship's two voyages (pp. 41-74) which contains extracts from his diary, is an important compliment to Doorly's The Voyages of the 'Morning'. Evans mentions Scott's 1910-13 expedition only in passing (pp.80-82), not surprisingly since that expedition was the subject of South with Scott" (Rosove). Rosove, 118.
