The present work engraved this Size by Anthony Aquaroni in outline was originally drawn by himself from the originals and may serve as a book of reminiscences of the above mentioned city.

About this Item

27,8 x 37,8 cm. Halblederband im Querformat mit goldgeprägtem Rückentitel und Lederecken. Das Leder ist leicht berieben, die hellen Buchdeckel etwas fleckig und gedunkelt. Illustrierter Titel; folgend 100 Kupferstichtafeln mit einer Bildgröße von ca. 14 x 18 cm. Die Tafeln geprüft und komplett mit den zeitgenössischen Ansichten der Stadt (vereinzelt auch Ansichten von Innenräumen). Der vordere Innendeckel mit einem Kleberest, das Vorsatzblatt mit einem Fingerfleck am unteren Rand. Der Innenteil ist an den Rändern teils braunfleckig, nur wenige Tafeln auch im Bildbereich leicht betroffen (u.a. 31 und 32). Die Tafel 13 am rechten Rand mit kleinem Einriss von ca. 1,5 cm, sehr kleiner Einriss auch bei Tafel 11 und 12. Seltenes, ganz gut erhaltenes Exemplar, siehe auch weitere Abbildungen // 27.8 x 37.8 cm. Half-leather binding in landscape format with gilt-stamped title on the spine and leather corners. The leather shows slight rubbing; the light-colored covers are somewhat stained and darkened. Illustrated title page; followed by 100 copper-engraved plates with an image size of approx. 14 x 18 cm. The plates have been verified and are complete, featuring contemporary views of the city (including occasional views of interiors). There is a trace of adhesive residue on the inside front cover, and a smudge on the lower edge of the front flyleaf. The interior shows some foxing along the edges; only a few plates are slightly affected within the image area itself (including plates 31 and 32). Plate 11-13 with small tears (approx. 1.5 cm).
