Mackworth proposes, in the economic instability in the aftermath of the South Sea Bubble, to issue a new paper currency which would relieve the sufferers, refinance the deflated South Sea Company, and bolster the public finances. ESTC T22031; Goldsmiths' 5828 Hanson 2750n. This edition not in Sperling. Octavo (175 x 105 mm). Recent grey boards, red morocco label. Very light stain at foot and a couple of spots of soiling. A very good copy.
