The Viking Press, 1940, xiv, 238 pgs, first edition published 1940, this is the stated second printing of June 1945. VG in powder blue cloth boards with fanciful cosmic design in yellow on front, title and author on spine in yellow. Boards are flat, binding is still tight and straight with some bumping to corners. Boards show moderate rubbing with a small dimple on back board and a small wrinkle in cloth at top edge of front board, some small yellow spots on front edge of spine. Interior pages are complete, intact, unmarked and still remarkably bright and clear. Gutters are still intact, end papers display constellation maps with penciled notes on bottom of FFE. Original, unclipped DJ is only Fair. DJ is still intact but several tears across top edge and a large chip out of top edge on back. LGYDJ202101161.
