First edition. Red cloth hardback book in original unclipped dust jacket. Frontispiece is a map of France in 1630. Additions after 1630 are marked with the date of accession; towns underlined were seats of parlements (sic). Both book and dust jacket are in very good condition. Very small previous owner s name to top of front pastedown. Geoffrey Treasure was a popular history teacher and housemaster at Harrow School. He was the author of several books, mainly about France in the 16th and 17th centuries. 316 pages, including bibliography and index. 225 x 145 mm (8� x 5� inches). .
