Rexine, large 8vo, 271 pp, 9 ills. Over 2,300 entries. Describes over 2300 works in the history of medicine, with a strong emphasis on works dealing with surgery and anatomy. Collations are given for books published before 1700. From a contemporary review: "There are 2,305 items in the first section, concerned with books. These are listed under authors' names, arranged alphabetically, and in addition to the title and details of printer, place of publication and date, the author's dates of birth and death are given (every time the author is named), the format of each book, collation, details of appearance in other catalogues, and brief details - such as annotation or inscription. If a work is not in one of the major catalogues, this also is noted. There are several indexes - a literary index, name and geographical indexes to the booktrade; indexes of binders, engravers and illustrators, and an index to provenance. The second part of the catalogue lists letters under their writers' names. These entries are not numbered. A brief resume of each letter is provided and there is a name index. The third and final part of the catalogue is devoted to prints and engravings. This is arranged in alphabetical order of the subjects of the prints and is following by an index of painters and engravers. " Lower corners slightly bumped, otherwise Very Good.
