pp.ix, 159. 8vo. Softback. Bookplate. Minor spotting to fore-edges of text block o/w. a fine softback. With Royal Entomological Society leaflet (dated 1984-85) presenting their published list of Handbooks and the prices as they stood at the time. ‘The list of Hymenoptera in Kloet & Hincks' original edition of this work (1945) was the first supposedly complete one published since 1837. The present checklist incorporates the results of a great deal of further research. The new list includes 6641 species compared with 6228 in the first edition.’ from the Introduction.
