Description:
This copy has Auden's signature under his name on the title page and he has made two corrections to the text. In part VI of 'Twelve Songs', "forced" becomes "left", and on 'First Things First' had "so very now" changed to "so there, so now". Both of these changes eventually appeared in published versions of the poems. A previous booksellers catalogue description informs that this book came from the library of theatre director Patrick Garland who worked with Auden in the 1960s on the International Poetry Festival.
