FIRST UK EDITION, 8vo, pp. xxxiii, [i], 317, [1]. Original blue cloth, front board and spine lettered and bordered in gilt. A little foxing, mainly to endpapers. Binding a touch rubbed to extremities. The first British appearance of this text by Australian actor and author Frederick Matthias Alexander (1869-1955), first published in 1923 in the US, where he was based at the time. The follow-up to Alexander?s ?Man?s Supreme Inheritance?, it continues his description of the foundation of his eponymous Alexander Technique. Early editions of Alexander?s work are scarce on the market.
