First edition, first printing. Published by John Murray in London, 1929. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper is clean on the front panel, with minor wear to the top and bottom edges. There some mild spots to the rear panel, appearing to be grease. The corners and spine tips are with separation. It has not been price clipped. The white title label to the spine is white and crisp, the cloth is bright but with some slight spots. The rough-cut text blocks are also so slightly foxed. It is inscribed, on the front fly leaf, in the hand of the Coutts chairman of the time, reading 'With the compliments of Coutts Co. 13 April 1946'. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a scarce signed title. The history of Coutts. Seller Inventory # 16173
