Minor chipping to the jacket spine top, very light corner rubbing, a couple small spots to the jacket front cover, little wear overall. In Brodart mylar for preservation. Text is clean. 'Is there an art of autobiography? What are its origins and how has it come to acquire the form we know today? For what does the autobiographer seek, and why should it be so popular? In this study [the author] suggests some of the answers to these questions. He believes that autobiography is one of the dominant and characteristic forms of literary self-expression in modern times, and that it deserves examination for its own sake and not merely as critical and historical source material.' 202 pages.
