First impression with publication date incorrectly printed as 1950. One inch by a half inch faded patch at the base of the spine where the jacket has been chipped and another narrow patch of fading at the top where there is also some fraying to the cloth next to the rear panel. Slight spine lean. Tight binding. Previous owner's name in ink on front free endpaper. Browning to page edges and endpapers. Jacket has one inch piece missing at the base of the spine and quite heavy chipping at the top of the spine and along the top of the rear panel next to the spine. There is also chipping to the corners and creasing and chipping along the top and bottom edges. The jacket is however largely complete with nice bright colouring on the front panel and a bit of discolouration to the white rear panel. So overall the book is near Very Good and the jacket is much nicer than the categorisation as 'Poor' might suggest. First printing. Seller Inventory # 006346
