Original Wraps. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket, as Issued. First Paperback Edition. A thirteenth printing of the true first paperback edition, published in 1963. Pan Books X-235. The first Pan paperback edition was published in 1958 with a different cover design. ***Near fine in colour illustrated card covers. The covers are remarkably clean, with only minor rubbing mainly to the edges of the spine. No significant creases, chips or tears. No fading even to the spine colour. No rolling to the binding. No reading creases. Internally also near fine with a neat ownership name at the top of the first printed page, but no other inscriptions or annotations. Clean pages with no foxing. No creases to the thin pages. The cheap paper stock has tanned but less than usual. Covers bright. Spine tight. ***192 pages 178mm x 115mm. ***"The best thriller of the season" - Birmingham Post (Review quote taken from the back cover) ***A thirteenth printing of the first paperback edition of "Diamonds Are Forever".
